Entertainment can be enjoyed by anybody – from individuals who choose a form of private entertainment from an enormous array of pre-recorded products; to groups of people deciding what to do for a night out, banquet or celebration; through to large scale events with performances intended for thousands or even global audiences. Entertainment can also have serious intent, such as in ceremonies, religious festivals or satire. But what is entertainment for one person may be considered work or cruelty by another.
