This bill would require City agencies to provide employees and job applicants with notice about student loan forgiveness programs that are available to federal and State government employees and contractors. The Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP) would prepare the notice in consultation with other City agencies. DCWP would also make the notice available to private employers in the City to distribute to their employees and job applicants.
